A long awaited feature finally made it in the WiZiQ classroom: screen sharing. According to a survey I made amongst teachers a couple of months ago screen sharing comes directly after voice quality on the must have list for virtual classrooms.
For WiZiQ classroom only the teacher needs to download a Java runtime environment which is very convinient as it avoids problems on the student’s side.
The screen sharing feature includes:
- simple-click start and stop functions
- full-screen sharing
- improved quality with faster performance and
- shared screens also appear in class recordings
For all the details about the new feature, check out the WiZiQ blog.
What I especially like is the fact that the shared screen will also appear in the recording of the lesson and if the feature works smoothly you could also use it for co-browsing. I think we will test this on the next ETCon end of November.
