They deliver the platform and the rest comes from external developers. Plus Facebook users are most likely real users because of the one person, one account rule. Events and photos are two applications they have written themselves. Hence, the language learning community at Facebook would most likely be an application implemented either through Facebook Connect or on Facebook.
