This is my quick and easy recipe for a detox drink that I prepare for myself every morning, and it also tastes surprisingly good, too.
The ingredients are fairly basic, you will likely have them at home already. And if you don’t have them yet, you can easily buy them in every good supermarket.
The best is that it only takes 1 min to prepare, no blenders or other fancy kitchenware needed!
So this is the cleanse I start my day with that also gets my metabolism going.
For a 350 ml (~12 oz fl) glass of cleanse, the ingredients you will need will be
- juice of half a lemon, preferably freshly juiced
- 1 tsp of apple vinegar
- 1 tsp of honey, or the same amount of agave syrup
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 1 pinch of cayenne
- 1 pinch of black pepper
Fill up with hot water (also use some cold water if you want to drink immediately or are in a hurry).
I feel this detox drink provides the best effects when consumed within half an hour after waking up.
Also, it’s budget-friendly compared with the fancy detox beverages or juice cleanses you can buy.
And of course you can also take some to work in a thermos and drink throughout the day (adjust measurements accordingly). Enjoy!
