Kirsten talks about the importance of YouTube for online teachers a lot these days. Of course not everyone of you will feel comfortable in front of a camera or maybe you simply don’t know how to start, e.g. what tools you might need to create a video.

Well, the good news is that YouTube recently partnered with three video creating tools which make it really easy even for absolute beginners in video editing or animation to create stunning videos. The bad news, there are no excuses anymore to not start an education series on YouTube.

Invideous’ Social Playhead – Social Learning Videos?

I really need to interview these guys! In June, I already wrote a small post about their video monetization feature for videos but this newest feature is also a very interesting one.

review:ed Episode #3.4 – How important is (live) video in online education?

We started this part with the recent fundings of the “This Week in” network of Jason Calacanis which secured $300k from Calacanis himself plus Matt Coffin and Sky Dayton. The video platform blip.tv secured $10.1 million.

This lead us to the question of the importance of (live) video content in general and of course in online education in specific.
