KWestions for Dave Schappel: Google Algorithm Change

As everybody is talking about the recent changes in the Google algorithm and more importantly the effects of those changes I am pleased that David Schapell, the CEO of TeachStreet, gave me his OK for a quick talk about that.

TeachStreet hits the Turbo Boost – Triples Traffic and Generates more Leads

TeachStreet have shared some interesting data with us just recently on their blog. When I got the opportunity yesterday, I chimed in for a quick talk with TeachStreet’s founder and CEO David Schappell.

In a nutshell, their efforts of building a great site where teachers can offer classes both locally and online starts to accelerate. When we compare the traffic on the site in January 2010 with January 2011, we can state that it has tripled during that time.

Review:ed 2010 – April to June

This is the second part of my review of 2010. April was the month when freemium got a hard kick in the behind, three companies proved this system is not the holy grail that fits in no matter what market.

In May and June we saw some early signs of trends that will become mainstream this year like video calling and a hire that brought the thunder back to a Seattle based startup.

TeachStreet launches Decision Engine for GMAT and GRE Test Takers

Although I have not written about TeachStreet on this blog yet,  it is one of my favourite services since I have first heard of them in early 2009. The reason why I did not mention TeachStreet up to now was that they were only available in the US.

But that might change soon and hence you will read more about this company from Seattle from now on over here.
