Head of Education that is. After only eight months Stefan Booy is leaving Myngle and I think this is a big loss for the company as he started some really good initiatives on the platform which in general went in the right direction.
In his email to the teachers of the platform he says the reasons for leaving Myngle are basically personal ones as working in business development and being Head of Education were very taxing for him as well as for Myngle.
This makes him the third manager to leave the start up after Tetyana Bilyachenko in September and Elisa Delaini in December 2009. Makes me wonder why Myngle isn’t able to bind talent. The team members that seem to work there for the longest time are the interns, some of them are going in their second or third year, if I am right.
So, whatever the reason was for Stefan to leave, if it was personal or based on the new direction Myngle is heading (I still have a draft about this which I need to publish), I hope Myngle will come up with a proper replacement. In the short time Stefan was Head of Education he started some positive initiatives like the minimum pricing to set an end on price dumping.
On the other hand if I am looking at the recent partnership with Randstad and the announcement that Myngle is creating teacher jobs in developing countries I don’t think that this will be the way for Myngle to go. The focus switched on to other things apparently and higher prices for teachers are not on the list anymore it seems.
