Are you a teacher? Do you have a blog about what you teach? Then you could become a featured blogger on TeachStreet and get not only some free traffic to your blog but also a one free featured listing which is a $10 USD value.
So what do you have to do?
First of all you fill out the form you find linked at the bottom of this post. You have to enter the name of the blog, the focus of it (cokking, yoga, guitar etc), the blog URL as well as the feed URL and so on.
After your blog has been approved you a Featured TeachStreet blogger badge which will, once it is implemented on your site, lead to
- Additional traffic to your blog with exposure from TeachStreet
- Showcase your expertise from your blog to potential students
- Be part of a community of like minded bloggers
- Followed links from TeachStreet which is great for SEO
Of course the same is true for TeachStreet itself. If you embed the badge on your blog you will help TeachStreet gain more exposure but I think the benefits are well balanced plus you get a featured listing for your classes.
Needless to say that you will need an account on TeachStreet to start with. If you have one already, great. If not it’s a good reason to give it a try.
Dave Schappell, the Founder and CEO of TeachStreet also wrote a very interesting guest post on TechCrunch about the transition of the company to a paid service. He will be my guest on review:ed tomorrow so we will surely spend some time on this, too.
