Over the past months I got in contact with more and more startups in the flashcard learning and spaced repetition vertical.
As I don’t believe this to be a mere coincidence, I thought it would be interesting to do a little series of interviews with some of those companies giving their opinion on a the space in general and why it is such an interesting one to many companies.
Next we dig a little deeper in the theory of brain function and what happens when students learn with flashcards. This KWestions finishes with a question I have been asking myself for a little time now seeing also those startups develop their products and positioning themselves in their niche. Should flashcards be seen as a stand-alone product or are they more likely to be a feature only?
My first interviewee is Matt Messenger, the Director of Learning at StudyBlue.
