ETCon 4 – Monetization of Educational Content

I am happy to announce that we are working on the setup of the fourth E-Teachers Conference. As topic for this edition we chose something that should interest online teachers who are planning to generate revenue with their products and services online:

Monetization of Educational Content

Personally, I have the list of speakers in mind already and I hope that I will be able to sign them.

Other than the three editions we had last year we will try and focus even more than already on topics for e-teachers, giving them advice on how to get better at teaching on the internet and building a business.

Also, let me take the time and thank all of you who supported this project over the past months and for your ongoing interest in the E-Teachers Conference. As you may have noticed I was busy on redefining my own business model and getting my different projects in line and prioritizing them.

Now that I am through with most of the basic work I can start to focus on the core assets of the network again and the ETCon is definitely one of them.

Yes, I’m back! (maybe in black) :)

Looking forward seeing you all on the next ETCon! Stay tuned for updates about the date and list of speakers.

Tres cool!!! Ah I remember. The summer of 2009, when we first met. I a budding online teacher with no sense of direction and no heroes to emulate. I casually walked into the back of the E-con room with a debonair saunter. I was there to check out the “lay of the land” and maybe try to stir things up. A typical know-it-all American with a chip on his shoulder.

Then you took the mic. Magic, violin music and a women with brains and passion about getting things done. Not, just another academic spouting off one theory after another. Yes, it was love at first sight. Ha, ha I am thrilled that we shall always have the summer of 2009 at WIZIQ to remember. “Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine.” Thanks for the memories… I look forward to new and exciting ones this year!

Merci George :) . Yes, those were the times. I hope until the ETCon WiZiQ gets the new classroom to run smoothly. Up to now I am having troubles, what about you?

A big difference in just one week. Stil several items but nothing to stop your plans. I or the WizIQ team would be happy to go over your (or presenter's) flow of events to ensure that no work-arounds are required. I am not yet happy with the recorded versions but I might be the exception as I tend to try too many things in one class. If your presenters do not try to use too many of the features (KISS principle) that may not be an issue. It would still be prudent to have a backup plan for recording if that is a key outcome of the event.

No, recording did not work several times even with no tools at all. And yes, recording is very important :) .
