E-Teachers Conference – ETCon

Just finished a talk with Bernhard Niesner, Co-Founder of busuu.com about the E-Teachers Conference. He told me that he did not know about it because I did not mention it in my blog. Funny, I did not even realize that I have not yet blogged about it.

Let me fix this.

The E-Teachers Conference will be a monthly held meeting of education 2.0 experts. Each ETCon will have three parts. Every panel member will give a 10 minute presentation about his / her point of view first. Those presentations will be followed by a moderated discussion of the panel. At the end there will be time for a Q&A session with the audience.

The topic of the first ETCon on July 27 is “Lesson slides and Virtual Classrooms. Do we really need them?”. The members of the panel are

Kevin Micalizzi, Community Manager of Dimdim

Elisa Delaini, Education Manager of Myngle

Heike Philp, Founder of Lancelot School

Harman Singh, Founder of WiZiQ

Jon Bischke, Founder of eduFire

Kirsten Winkler, Founder of E-Teachers Academy

I am really looking forward to this event and I think that we are going to have a very interesting discussion.

The ETCon will be recorded and then uploaded to YouTube for all those who can not attend or don’t get a ticket.

You can ask your questions to the panel on the ETCon blog before and after the ETCon, during the Conference via the chat or via Twitter by using the #etcon hashtag.

Thanks Kristen for telling me about the conference! It was quite an experience! I didn't get to finish the entire conference; it completely froze during Elisa's presentation so I left the room and wasn't able to get back in.

Is there a recorded session somewhere that I can watch to see the rest of the presentation?
  • Hello Anne,
yes, was a great evening. The recordings and chat transcripts will be available on http://etcon.eteachersacademy.com
